Mansfield, Mass. -- Rookie
Victoria Major capped her freshman indoor season in style on Thursday, as the Deer Park, N.Y. native was named Northeast-10 Conference Women's Rookie Field Athlete of the Year as voted by the league's head coaches.

Major, who was the NE10 champion in the indoor high jump with a mark of 1.67m and represented Adelphi at the 2017 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships at the Division II Festival in Birmingham, Ala. earlier this month. Tying her best height of the season in the high jump event, Major finished in 11th out of 16 competitors, and as the top freshman in Division II, to earn Second Team All-America status.Â
