Southampton, N.Y. - Adelphi improved their overall record to 2-6 and their conference mark to 1-2 last night with a win over Southampton. With the loss Southampton falls to 4-5 overall and 1-5 in the NYCAC. Adelphi took the first two games by an identical score of 30-24. Southampton fought back and won the third game 30-26, but in the end the Panthers came out on top with a 30-27 win in game four. Deanna Maggio, Rachael Cornick and Meaghan Joyce all had double doubles for the Panthers. Maggio totaled 14 kills and 10 digs, Cornick recorded a team high 18 kills to go along with her 10 digs and Joyce collected 15 kills and 15 digs. Adelphi returns to action Friday, October 3 when they travel to Bryant College for a tri-meet tournament with Bryant College and Assumption College. Team Highs Adelphi:
