Sept. 27, 2003 Garden City, N.Y. - Adelphi dropped a tough match today to the College of Saint Rose by a score of 3-1. Adelphi held leads in the first three games but St. Rose stormed back in two of the three games. Adelphi dropped the first game 30-26, the Panthers battled St. Rose to extra points in the second game but again the Golden Knights escaped with the win 31-29. In the third game Adelphi swung the momentum their way and topped St. Rose in extra points 31-29. But St. Rose really poured it on in the fourth and final game. The Golden Knights jumped out to an early lead and the Panthers could not recover. St. Rose took the fourth game 30-17. With the loss Adelphi falls to 1-6 on the year, while St. Rose improves to 9-5. The Panthers travel to Southampton September 29th to take on the Colonials at 7 pm.
