2008: Played in 116 games and 35 matches...recorded 160 kills and 51 digs...second on the team in blocks with 69...set career highs in kills (13) against Bridgeport (11/6), digs (7) against Limestone (8/29), blocks (5) against NYIT (9/11) and Southern Connecticut (11/1).

At Bellport High School: Played four years of volleyball...League IV Rookie of the Year, All-County for three years, participated in the Junior Olympics her junior year, League IV Player of the Year and team captain her senior year...member of the Spanish Honor Society.

Personal: Daughter of Vinton Simms and Berkys Ruiz...majoring in education...has three siblings, Priscilla, Berny and Ernest.
