Manhattan, N.Y. - Sophomore Claudia Nunez (Aventura, FL) has been named New York Collegiate Athletic Conference (NYCAC) Player of The Week as announced, October 4 by the conference office. This is the third consecutive week that Nunez has received this honor.

Adelphi played just one match last week, against the University of New Haven, falling 6-3. But, Nunez continued her conference unbeaten streak at number one singles by dispatching Amy Shields in straight sets 6-4, 6-3. Nunez also teamed with Melissa Kutner (Bayonne, NJ) to pick up an 8-3 doubles win.

Women's tennis returns to action on Wednesday, October 5 when they host C.W. Post at 3:30 pm.
