Adelphi Tops C.W. Post, Earns Spot In NYCAC Tournament

 
 

 
Both Melissa Kutner and Rebecca Gnessin were double winners for the Panthers.

Brookville, N.Y. - Adelphi out lasted C.W. Post in a match that spanned six days when play was called on the match last Tuesday. Play resumed yesterday and the Panthers topped C.W. Post 5-4. Adelphi won the second flight of doubles and the first, third, fifth and sixth flight of singles to pick up the win. Both Melissa Kutner and Rebecca Gnessin were double winners for the Panthers.

With the win Adelphi slides past C.W. Post and into fourth place in the NYCAC standings and into the NYCAC team tournament. The tournament will start today, October 15th and continue in to tomorrow, as the fourth the seed the Panthers will travel to Queens College to take on number one seeded Queens.
