Women's Tennis Finishes Second In NYCAC Team Championships

Flushing, N.Y. - The Adelphi University women's tennis team placed second overall in the NYCAC Team Championship, their highest finish ever. The No. 2 seeded Panthers lost to No. 1 seed Queens College in the championship round. Adelphi completes the Fall season with a 10-2 overall record.

The #1 doubles team of Tashi Sharma and Rosi Bantovska were victorious, defeating Queens, 8-0. Queens took the next five matches and with Adelphi trailing, 5-1, the game was called. With only three matches remaining, Adelphi would be unable to defeat Queens.
