Sparkill, NY - Adelphi Women's Tennis continued its conference success, beating the St. Thomas Aquinas College Spartans 6-3. The Panthers now move into third on the East Coast Conference standings, with a conference record of 3-2, 3-4 overall. The Panthers took two out of three in doubles, out scoring the Spartans 22-13, and four out of six in singles with a scoring margin of 57-32. With her win over Garoline Gizzi, Alda Ribeiro (Del Ray Beach, FL) moves her win streak to three in singles competition. Ribiero is 4-1 for the season in singles. Also on a three game winning streak, Kristina Radeva (Varna, Bulgaria) won 8-3 in a pro-set over Jen Edlund. The Panthers will look to continue their conference success when they travel to New Haven, Connecticut to take on the Chargers of New Haven University, September 27 at 3:30 pm. |
