West Point, N.Y. - Tashi Sharma advanced to the No. 2 singles consolation semi-final round in the 2002 Eastern Collegiate Tournament held at U.S. Military Academy, in West Point, N.Y., this weekend. Maryann Stevens advanced to the quarterfinals of the No. 3 singles.

Sharma defeated Army's Amanda Poluch, 1-6, 6-2, 6-4, in the second round and defeated Megan Stauffer of Fairfield to advance to the quarterfinals. She fell to Hallie Erickson of New Hampshire, 6-2, 4-6, 6-4.

Rosista Bartovska was defeated by Kim Barfuss of Seton Hall, 6-2, 6-2, in the No. 1 singles consolation round.

Adelphi returns to action on Wednesday, traveling to Dowling College for a 4:00 p.m. conference match-up.
