Women's Tennis Tops Dowling In NYCAC Opener

The Panthers won seven of nine games to pick up the win.

Garden City, N.Y. - Adelphi drops just three sets in their conference opening win over Dowling. With the win the Panthers improve to 2-1 overall and start the season unbeaten in the NYCAC at 1-0, while Dowling falls to 0-2 on the season.

Sophomore Claudia Nunez (Aventura, FL) dispatched Ashley Horishny (North Bellmore, N.Y.) 6-2, 6-0 to remain unbeaten in singles action this season. Nunez teamed with Melissa Kutner (Bayonne, NJ) in doubles action to collect another win.

The Panthers return to action on Tuesday, September 13 when they play host to Molloy at 4:00 pm in Garden City, New York.
