Women's Tennis Falls 7-2 To Philadelphia

The Adelphi women's tennis team dropped a 7-2 decision to Philadelphia on Saturday afternoon in Philadelphia, P.A., to open play in its 2004 season.

In singles play, Claudia Nunez was victorious, winning 6-3, 6-2 at the No. 1 slot. While Leigh Fennessey tallied the Panthers' second win of the day with a 6-2, 3-6, 7-6, battle at No. 2 singles position. Philadelphia's depth was too much for Adelphi to overcome as they captured the other four singles matches and all three doubles matches to earn the 7-2 win.

The women's team is scheduled to take on Queens, Tuesday September 14th at 4 p.m.
