Garden City, N.Y. - Seniors Samantha Johnston and Jessica Vogt were each selected to the 2009 Louisville Slugger/NFCA All-East Region Team. Johnston was named to the First Team and will advance to the national All-American ballot, while Vogt was a Second-Team honoree.

Johnston posted a team-leading .443 batting average. She also led the Panthers (32-14) in at-bats (158), runs scored (38), hits (70) and triples (5). For her efforts she was selected as the East Coast Conference Player of the Year. She has also been named to the 2009 Daktronics First-Team All-Region and a CoSida Academic All-District.

Vogt hit .357 with a team-leading 11 doubles, 10 homeruns and 54 runs batted in. She was also selected as an All-East Coast Conference second-team pick.
