Coach Smith says, "Marisa has the ability to become a power-pitcher for us in a rotation that boasts mostly of movement. She also possesses extremely quick hands at the plate, which make her a very hard out."

2009: On the mound she appeared in 13 games, getting the start in seven winning seven games with an era of 2.17 having the highest win-loss percentage on the team with .875... third best of the pitching staff in batters struck out with 16, four of them out looking... game high of five strikeouts against Southern Connecticut State (3/25)

2008: Appeared in four games for the Panthers...had three appearances and one start on the mound...recorded her first career strikeout in a 5-3 loss against Mercyhurst (3/9).

At Passaic Valley High School: Four year letterwinner in softball and basketball...in softball, a three-time first team NHC selection and all-Passaic country...as a junior, named Bergen Record Female Athlete of the Week and led Passaic County with 273 strikeouts...in basketball, captain as a junior and senior and was a 1,000 point scorer...National Honor Society member and Superintendent's Honors...student senate representative, member of the Varsity Club, student trainers club and Heroes & Cool Kids.

Personal:Daughter of Tom and Lori Romeo...born March 22...has two sisters, Lauren and Danielle and one brother, Thomas...a Biology major...would like to become a pediatric dentist...hobbies include playing sports, hanging out with friends and family and going to the beach.
