Garden City, N.Y. - On Saturday, December 19, the Panther Club will host women's soccer alumni in a reception in the Campbell Lounge of the Center of Recreation and Sports from 11:00am-1:00pm. The event will celebrate the recent success of soccer alumni who coach at the high school level. The impetus for the reception came after this fall's victories of several Adelphi alumni. Shannon Sepe Keenan '93 led St. John the Baptist to a Catholic High School girl's title, while coach Lea Brady '06 garnered a Long Island Championships for her Center Moriches crew. Head Coach Jesseca Ericksen Kulesa '01 captured the Suffolk County championship for Hauppague with the help of assistant coaches Josephine Coiro '05 and Jennifer Garone '04. What's even more impressive is the number of alumni that are involved in coaching. The reception will salute all of Adelphi's women's soccer alumni and coaches. The alumni will be invited to stay for a special half-time recognition during the women's basketball game which begins at 1:00 p.m. "I am very proud of all these coaches," said Adelphi Women's Soccer Coach Rich Ilsley. "They continue to be tremendous examples of the quality of student athletes that have represented Adelphi throughout the years. My congratulations to all of them."
