Cali Signs With Long Island Lady Riders

 
 

 
In 2004, Cali helped the Panthers to a second-place finish in the NCAA.

Garden City, N.Y. - Dina Cali (Valley Stream, N.Y.), former soccer player at Adelphi University, has signed to play with the Long Island Lady Riders Semi-Professional Soccer Team.

A four-year starter while at Adelphi, Cali ended her collegiate career with the Panthers in 2004 being named MVP, all-conference team, NSCAA/Adidas College Women Scholar All-East Region, FAR recipient and named to the NCAA All-Tournament Team in 2004 when Adelphi finished as National Championship Runner-up.

Over her four-year career, Cali collected 12 goals and two assists for 26 points as a defender. She graduated in 2005 with a degree in speech pathology

The Lady Riders (5-4-1) return to action on Wednesday, June 28, hosting the New York Magic at Hofstra University at 7:30 pm.

Established in 1994, the Lady Riders are two-times National Champions of the USL W-League, America's soccer league for women. In 2000 they created a youth academy, establishing girl's teams in the fourteen through eighteen age groups, which compete in the USL's Super Y-League, America's soccer league for youth players. During a single year, the Lady Riders reach approximately 250,000 Long Islanders.
