Garden City, N.Y. - The Adelphi University women's lacrosse team raised over $2,000 for the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund as part of a team raffle fundraiser. The drawing was held on Friday, December 10.

Over the past two months, members of the women's lacrosse team sold over 2,300 raffle tickets. The winners of the gift baskets were drawn on December 10 at a team function. In total, the team raised $4,714. Fifty percent, or $2,357, will go directly to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund. The money will be used not only to promote awareness, but more importantly will help to provide research grants to top scientists and researchers to find a cure!

The team would like to extend its deepest thanks to those who participated in making the raffle a success.
