Garden City, N.Y. - Newly appointed Head Women's Lacrosse Joe Spallina has named Lindsay Goldman and Anthony Saccone `99 as assistant coaches to the program. Spallina has a long standing relationship with both coaches. Goldman played for Spallina at Rocky Point High School, while Saccone has been affiliated with Adelphi as a former student-athlete.

Goldman, a Rocky Point native, is a 2007 graduate C.W. Post and a four-year starter on the women's lacrosse team. "Lindsay is a perfect fit for Adelphi", Spallina explained. "She is a familiar with my coaching style as well as the Division II landscape. I am extremely excited to have Lindsay as part of the coaching staff."

A three-time IWLCA All-American and a two-time national Defender of the Year, Goldman had a stellar career with the Pioneers that included three NCAA Final Four appearances including a 2007 National Championship. She was named the IWLCA DII Scholar-Athlete of the Year in 2007.

Saccone, a native of Port Washington, N.Y., played two years for Adelphi men's lacrosse team after transferring from Nassau Community College. An All-American selection, he helped the Panthers to back-to-back national championships (1998, 1999), including being named the NCAA Tournament MVP in 1999. "Anthony brings a wealth of experience as well as being an Adelphi alumnus" said Spallina. "He adds a perfect element to the coaching staff."
