Garden City, N.Y. - Junior Caitlin Fitzpatrick was named the C. Markland Kelly Goalkeeper of the Year at the IWLCA annual All-American banqet held June 13 in King of Prussia, PA. at the Crown Plaza Valley Forge. Eight schools had a total of 12 student-athletes named as the top player for their respective positions by the organization.

The ECC Goalie of the Year, Fitzpatrick played in all 18 games and got the start in 17. She led the team in saves (112), save percentage (.665), shots faced (236) and time guarding the net (736:48) in the regular season. Fitzpatrick had a season and team best 14 saves against Merrimack and 11 ground balls against Dowling (4/11) and was named the ECC Goalie of the Week nine times.

Lock Haven's Kate Zichelli was named Defender of the Year, while Katie Hogan and Jaclyn Napolie of C.W. Post were recognized as Midfielder and Attacker, respectively.

Fitzpatrick is the second Adelphi goalie to earn this honor. Allyson Murphy was named Goalkeeper of the Year in 2006.
