Garden City, N.Y. - Sophomores Josephine Coiro and Katherine Hock were each named second-team All-Americas as voted by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLWA) and US Lacrosse. In addition, both athletes, along with junior Leigh Fennessey were each named to the ECAC All-Stars.

The IWLCA/US Lacrosse All-America teams were announced last Tuesday, May 27, while the ECAC All-Stars were releases on Thursday, May 29.

Coiro, the Panther goalie for the past two seasons, was named a first-team ECAC All-Star. She helped the team to a No. 6 national ranking and a 10-2 overall record. She finished the season as the Division II leader in goals against average (5.08) and fourth in save percentage (0.626).

This is the second year that Hock, the team's leading scorer with 53 points (46 g, 7 a), was named a second-team All-American. She finished the season ranked 12th in the nation in points per game (4.42) and third in goals per game (3.83). During the season, she earned ECAC Player of the Week honors when she broke her own Adelphi record, with a career-best eight goals in the Panthers win over Philadelphia University. For her efforts she also was named a second-team ECAC All-Star.

Fennessey, who was also named a second-team ECAC All-Star, was ranked second on the team in scoring with 29 goals and 12 assists for 41 points.
