Garden City, N.Y. - Freshman Katherine Hock (Mineola, N.Y./Mineola) tallied five goals and one assist to lead the Adelphi University women's lacrosse team to a 12-3 victory over the St. Anselm's Hawks, Sunday afternoon at Stiles Field. Junior Catherine Perez (Lyndhurst, N.J./Lyndhurst) collected four goals and one assist. The Panthers extend their win streak to six, improving to 10-2 on the season. The Hawks fall to 6-5 overall.

Hock scored Adelphi?x2019;s first three goals of the day within the first 9:02 minutes of the first half. Perez added the next two goals to give the Panthers a 5-0 lead. Hock and Perez would finish the first half earning one more goal apiece, 7-0.

The Panthers opened the second half scoring two more goals. The Hawks scored their first goal of the day on an unassisted goal by Katelynn O'Connell (Sandwich, Mass.) 23:02 into the second half. Less than two minutes later, St. A's added their second point from Alicia Hoey (Wetherfield, Conn.). Hock registered her fifth goal of the game at 20:18. Karen Sulinski (Huntington, N.Y./Huntington) scored the next goal on an assist from Hock. Leigh Fennessey (Saratoga Springs, N.Y./Saratoga) picked up Adelphi's final goal of the contest, 12-2, with 10:30 on the clock. Hoey picked up the Hawks final goal with just over a minute remaining in regulation, as Adelphi prevailed, 12-3.

Freshman goaltender Josephine Coiro (West Babylon, N.Y./West Babylon) picked up 25 saves in the game. Meghan Briggs (E. Longmeadow, Mass.) had 10 saves for the Hawks.

Adelphi returns to action on Thursday, hosting Philadelphia University at 4:00 p.m. at Stiles Field. St. Anselm's heads to Merrimack for a conference match-up on Friday, April 26 at 3:30 p.m.
