Garden City, N.Y. - Freshman goalie Josephine Coiro (West Babylon, N.Y./West Babylon) was named this week's ECAC Division II Goaltender of the Week. This is the first such honor for a member of the women's lacrosse team in their short two year history.

Starting in goal in three games last week, Coiro notched 43 saves while only allowing 29 goals and posting a .605 save percentage. Adelphi captured two games on the week, falling only to nationally ranked University of California-Davis.

Coiro joins the women's lacrosse team on Thursday, April 4, traveling to East Stroudsberg at 4:00 p.m.
