Garden City, N.Y. - The Stars are a post-collegiate women's lacrosse team based in Long Island, New York. The team is comprised of players from different towns and universities throughout Long Island, including All-American players from Adelphi University and LIU-C.W. Post along with many other talented players.

As a Long Island based team, the Stars have a large number of Adelphi graduates includeing Dawn Anselmin '06 Mary Cannata '06, Melissa Demasi '06, Lauren Giordano '07, Katherine Hock '05, Jayna Kyriacou '06, Diana Lopez '07, Lauren Lopez '07, Allyson Murphy '07, Janine Pirone '06, Christie Ruppert '04 and Kelly Ryan '06.

The season runs throughout the entire calendar year as they play at a highly competitive level in tournaments and leagues throughout the United States. The Long Island Stars play their games at John Burn's Park in Massapequa. Their next tournament is the US National Tournament and takes place May 25-28, in Pennsylvania.
