Garden City, N.Y. - Sophomore Katherine Hock was tabbed as this week's ECAC Division II Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week. This is the first such honor for Hock who tallied 12 goals in a 2-0 week for the Panthers.

Hock had a career-best eight goals and one assist in No. 8 Adelphi's 16-5 win over Philadelphia University. Hock broke her own single-game record of 7 goals set on 4/18/02 against Montclair State. Her nine points in that game also ties the single-game points record set by teammate Leigh Fennessey in 2001.

She currently leads the team in scoring with 32 goals and six assists for 38 points. She is also ranked third in the nation in goals per game, averaging 3.56.

Hock joins Adelphi as they host Bentley College on Saturday, April 26, at 3:00 p.m. in the Panthers final home game of the 2003 season.
