Spallina Named IWLCA DII Coach of the Year

The IWLCA has honored eleven colleagues with their selections as coaches of the year, including three individuals who were named the National Coach of the Year for their respective divisions. Joe Spallina from Adelphi, Lauren Paul from Franklin & Marshall and Kelly Amonte Hiller from Northwestern, each of whom led their teams to national titles in 2009, were tabbed as the national coaches of the Year. Bogensberger Recipient of ECC Excellence in Community and Character Award

Seniors Jaclyn Bogesberger (Valley Stream, N.Y.) from Adelphi University, Katelyn Dunn (Bethpage, N.Y.) from Molloy College and Leonard Lans (Spring Valley, N.Y.) from Dowling College have been selected to receive the inaugural Experience in Community and Character Award. This award was created to recognize student-athletes who have distinguished themselves through positive actions and behaviors that are consistent with the NCAA Division II attributes of learning, service, passion, sportsmanship, resourcefulness and balance.
