Elise Galvanin is in her first season as an assistant coach with the Adelphi University Field Hockey program.

Galvanin joins the Panthers after obtaining her master's in exercise physiology in May 2008 from Adelphi University. While pursuing her master's, Galvanin also worked as a graduate assistant (GA) in the Physical Education and Human Performance Science Department.

As a GA, Galvanin structured strength and conditioning programs for Adelphi's intercollegiate athletic programs and conducted performance testing on nationally recognized tri-athletes. In addition, Galvanin is a certified personal trainer through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and is currently pursuing her exercise specialist certification through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM).

In 2006, Galvanin received her bachelor's in exercise physiology from Hofstra University. While at Hofstra, she was a member of the field hockey team, seeing time as a midfielder and at defense. Galvanin helped the Pride finish the 2003 season 12-8 overall and received the Colonial Athletic Association's (CAA) Commissioner's Academic Award. She was also one of five Pride players to become a member of the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division I National Academic Squad.

Galvanin's coaching experience includes work at numerous field hockey camps in the Northeast including Springfield College, Bryant College, and Hofstra University.

Galvanin, who is originally from Massachusetts, currently resides in Long Beach, New York.
