Elmwood Park, NJ - The Panthers returned to action at thr FDU Fright Nite Invite capturing four matches in route to a 4-1 and stand in seventh place. The first match of the day saw the Panthers defeat the #6 Hornets of Delaware State University. Captain Dianna Molenko led the way with a 214 and was assisted by a 198 by Danielle Merino. The Panthers trailed early but rallied to the 847-830 win. The squad was unable to hold off FDU and fell 924-810. Match three saw Adelphi rebound with a 874-622 victory over LIU. The Panthers saw Catherine Rawsthorne contribute a 202. Rawsthorne was assisted by Elizabeth Herbert and Molenko both with 178 efforts. The Rattlers of FAMU were no match for the Panthers in match four. Rawsthorne rolled a near perfect 257 game which is a new Adelphi standard. Molenko (198), Herbert (199), and Merino (191) helped the winning cause. Thee final match of the day was against NEC rival Kutztown University. The Golden Bears anchor fired a 255 but the Panthers prevailed as Sarah Rawski recorded a 230 and Merino added a 209 to claim the 974-933 win. The Panthers finished the day 4-1 and are 6-4 after two days of action. The day saw the Panthers move into seventh place, 12 pins out of 5th. |
