Garden City, N.Y. -

Adelphi University senior Sebastian Nieves (Bogota, Columbia) and freshman Adrish Tewarie (Amsterdam, Netherlands) were named Northeast-10 Conference Player and Freshman of the Week, respectively, it was announced Tuesday.

Nieves collected two wins #1 singles as well as two wins at #1 doubles in back-to-back 9-0 shutout victories over Franklin Pierce University and Saint Anselm College this past weekend. Adrish also earned two wins in both singles and doubles play (#6 singles, #3 doubles) in the Panthers' victories.

The Panthers have completed the fall portion of their schedule and return to action on Tuesday, March 16, 2010 when they travel to Pace University for a 3:00 pm start.
