Garden City, NY - Adelphi University junior Sebastian Nieves has been named East Coast Conference (ECC) Player of The Week as announced by the conference office on March 16. This is the first honor this season for Nieves.

Nieves defeated Carthage's Joey Perkins, 6-0 and 6-1, at number three during the Panthers spring opener. He later teamed up with Anton Voynov to post an 8-6 victory over Carthage's Jack Schiro and Andy Schwenke at No. 2 doubles.

Nieves and the rest of the Brown and Gold will return to action later this evening when they take on Knox College in Orlando, FL set to begin at 6:30 pm.
