Garden City, N.Y. - Adelphi played host to visiting New York University on September 29th to open their fall season. Despite forcing tie breakers in two sets the Panthers were shut out by NYU 9-0.

Nicolas Sanchez and Faheem Romi (Dhaka, Bangladesh) won the second set of their matches to force tie breakers. Sanchez won the second set 6-3 but fell 10-6 in the tie breaker. Romi took the second set of his match 6-4 and narrowly missed winning the tie breaker, falling 11-9.

Adelphi returns to action on October 2nd when they travel to Bloomsburg University to compete in the ITA Eastern Championships.
