Newark, N.J. - The Adelphi University men's tennis team, ranked ninth regionally, defeated host New Jersey Institute of Technology, 6-3, on Tuesday afternoon. The Panthers improve to 8-8 on the season. NJIT drops to 5-2. Adelphi won the top four singles and top two doubles spots on the ladder. The Panther's Nos. 1-4, Mack Baker, Faheem Romi, Greg Fujii and Will Klocke were all double-winners. Joe Adler dropped his first match of the year at No. 4 singles to Klocke after a 12-0 start. Adler and Monojir Ali remained unbeaten in doubles. Adelphi is back in action this Saturday, hosting Salve Regina at 1:00 p.m.
