Tomas Walczak picked up wins in top flight singles and doubles

Flushing, N.Y. - Junior, Tomas Walczak picked up top flight singles and doubles wins to help the Adelphi men's tennis team past NYU, 5-4. With the win, the Panthers improve to 3-3 overall.

Walczak defeated Mikhail Gurevich 6-4, 7-5 in number one singles. Walczak then paired with freshman Sebastian Nieves in the top flight doubles to defeat Gurevich and Zubair Ghouse 8-6.

Sophomore, Alex Molotsky and junior, Nicolas Sanchez-Sousa also picked up two wins on the day. Molotsky defeated P.J. Marranca 6-1, 6-1 in the fourth flight singles, while Sanchez defeated Ghouse in second flight singles 6-1, 6-7, 7-6. The two then paired up in second flight doubles and picked up an 8-1 win over Ghouse and Craig Berger.

Adelphi returns to action Wednesday, April 11 when they travel to Sparkill, NY to take on the Spartans of St. Thomas Aquinas College.
