Stony Brook, NY - The Adelphi Men's Tennis team traveled out east to play host Dowling College in and East Coast Conference (ECC) match-up. The Panthers overpowered the Golden Lions 9-0 and bettered their record to 8-4 overall, 2-1 in ECC play. The regionally ranked fourth tandem of Alex Molotsky and Tomasz Walczak got things going with a 8-4 win in number one doubles. Sebastian Nieves and Anton Voynov in second doubles, along with Bandar Kayali and Leonard Bruno in third followed with 8-1 and 8-6 victories respectfully. In singles Walczak led the charge again with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Dowling's Petr Grischenko in the first position. The Panthers continued the action with wins in the second-sixth's spots by Nieves, Molotsky, Voynov, Kayali and Joseph Carbone. The Panthers will next host the Knights of Queens College, the first match of the spring on Adelphi soil, April 14 at 3:00 p.m. |
