Waltham, Mass. - Adelphi University's Abhijeet Muzumdar (Bellerose, N.Y.) was one of three double-winners for the Panthers who downed Bentley College 5-4 in men's tennis action Saturday afternoon in Waltham. In a close match throughout the day, it came down to the third set of the number one singles to decide it. Bentley's Greg Maloomian (Needham/Noble Greenough School) faced off against Muzumdar. Muzumdar teamed with Faheem Romi (Dhaka, Bangladesh) for a 9-8 tie break win at number one doubles. For Bentley, the freshmen tandem of Mike McCrillis (Kennebunkport, Maine/Cheverus HS) and Marc Makowski (Nashua, N.H./Bishop Guertin HS) combined for an 8-1 win at number two doubles, and Makowksi took his number five singles match in straight sets, dropping just one game.
