Sparkill, NY - Men's Tennis traveled to Sparkill, New York to take on the Spartans of St. Thomas Aquinas College in an East Coast Conference (ECC) match-up. The Panthers jumped to a 3-0 lead coming out of doubles and continued their pressure in singles, taking all six matches. With the 9-0 win, the Brown and Gold moves to 5-2 on the season. Tomasz Walczak took the lead for the Racketmen in singles play and posted a unblemished 8-0 pro set over Jon Iliev. Sebastian Nieves followed with a 8-1 win over Mike Antolini in second singles, while Alex Molotsky continued the action with a 8-0 victory over Ed Reiter. Anton Voynov, Bandar Kayali, and Leonard Bruno in fourth-sixth singles each saw wins over the Spartans. In doubles action, Molotsky teamed with Walczak in the first spot, Nieves joined Voynov in the second position and Kayali partnered with Joseph Carbone in the three spot; each getting wins over STAC. The Panthers will return to action Friday, March 27, when they travel to Kutztown, Pennsylvania to take on Kutztown University. First serve is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. |
