Flushing, N.Y. - The Adelphi men's tennis team traveled to Queens College on February 27 to compete in the NYCAC Flight Championships. The Panthers advanced players to the second round in second flight singles and second flight doubles. Zachary Lister competed in second flight singles and won his first round match over Billy Almeyda of Queens, 7-5, 7-5. Lister faced Vlad Malkin of Concordia in the second round and fell by the score of 6-0, 6-0. Brandin O'Connell and Faheem Romi were the only other players to advance past the first round, topping Philadelphia 8-3 in second flight doubles before falling to Dowling, 8-4 in the second round. The Panthers return to action on March 5 when they play host to Bryant at 12:00 pm. |
