Garden City, N.Y. - The Adelphi University men's soccer team is ranked third in the final National Soccer Coaches Association of America poll, released on Monday, November 9. The Panthers (11-2-4) are ranked behind first place Monmouth University (16-1-1) and Iona College (14-2-2). Quinnipiac University (9-3-6) and St. Francis College (10-5-1) round out the top-five in fourth and fifth.

Leading the way for Adelphi this fall is freshman Issa Tall, who is ranked second in the nation in goals per game at 0.88 per contest. Tall is also ranked among the top-10 in the country in point per game, sitting seventh with an average of 1.81 points per match.

Adelphi goalkeeper Thorne Holder is also on two national lists, appearing at number 24 in save percentage, stopping 83.9 percent of shots sent his way. He is also 27th in the nation in goals against average, giving up just 0.706 tallies per game.

The Panthers return to action on Friday, November 13 when they take part in the Atlantic Soccer Conference tournament in Farmville, Virginia.
