Adelphi University senior goalkeeper Igor Yatsenko (Brooklyn, N.Y.) was named to the 2002 men's soccer Verizon Academic All-District second-team as announced today. This is the second consecutive Verizon honor for the business finance major, as he earned second team all-district honors in 2001.

Yatsenko has started in all 16 games for the Panthers (4-11-1) for 1412:23 minutes in goal. He is currently ranked second in the Atlantic Soccer Conference (ASC) with a .770 save percentage and fifth in goals against average (1.78) and is credited with three shutouts this season.

Yatsenko has maintained a 3.7 grade point average has been named to the Adelphi University Dean's List for the past three years.
