Garden City, N.Y. - For the second consecutive week, Adelphi University's Issa Tall scored three goals in two games and for the second week in a row, he was named the BigAppleSoccer.com Men's College Player of The Week as announced on Monday, October 5. Tall scored the Panthers' second goal in their 3-0 win over Saint Peter's College Wednesday, September 30 as he collected a James Diana feed and tallied in the 64th minute. On Saturday, October 3, Tall struck twice in a 3-0 home victory over Manhattan College. Tall got the Panthers (7-1-2) going in the 22nd minute as he ran onto a through ball from John Koutsounadis. He moved around Manhattan goalkeeper Joseph Lorenz and deposited the ball in the back of the net. Tall converted a penalty kick in the 54th minute as Adelphi stretched its winning streak to six games. Adelphi returns to action on Wednesday, October 7 when they travel to Princeton, New Jersey for a 6:00 pm contest with Princeton. |
