Jamaica, N.Y. - The Adelphi University men's soccer team dropped their fourth straight in a 3-0 loss to St. John's, Wednesday night at Brooks Stadium on the campus of the United States Merchant Marine Academy. The Panthers remain winless on the season with an 0-4 record while the Red Storm improves to 3-1.

St. John's wasted no time,as junior midfielder Simone Salinno scored a goal from 10-yards out, off a pass from sophomore Andre Schmid just 1:01 seconds into the game. Senior Rich Bradley was credited with an assist on the goal.

Less than 10 minutes later, at the 8:27 mark, Salinno sent a ball to Bradley on the near sideline. Bradley sent a pass up the middle of the field, through three defenders, where it was met by sophomore Chris Corcoran, who picked the ball up before the Adelphi senior goalkeeper Igor Yatsenko and sent a shot from 11-yards out to the lower post, giving St. John's a 2-0 lead.

The Red Storm added a third goal before the end of the first half.

Adelphi had its best shot early in the second half when freshman Padraig Drew picked up a loose ball and fired a shot on goal, with the Red Storm goalkeeper out of position, but the shot was saved by a SJU defender to perserved the shutout.

St. John's outshot Adelphi, 15-6, and took 13 corner kicks, while the Panthers attempted only one.

Adelphi continues its road stand, traveling to Syracuse this Saturday at 6:00 p.m.
