Durham, N.H. - The Adelphi University men's soccer team dropped its second straight game, falling to New Hampshire, 3-1, at the Nike Fall Classic. The Panthers drop to 0-2 on the season, while the Wildcats advance to 2-0, winning their first Nike Fall Classic since 1997. Sophomore Tal Sheinfeld scored Adelphi's only goal of the game, just 8:47 into the first half on an assist by freshman Padraiq Drew. New Hampshire would tie the game on an unassisted goal by Logan Lee off a rebound at 35:12. The Wildcats took the lead in the second half at 51:00 minutes, sealing their victory at the 86:50 mark on a header by Nicola Chicco. New Hampshire goalkeeper Mike Vignola had three saves and Adelphi's Igor Yatsenko picked up two saves on the contest. Junior Gary Sullivan and senior Anders Salomonsson were each named to the Nike Fall Classic All-Tournament Team. Adelphi returns to action next Sunday, September 8, in its season home-opener against Manhattan College at 3:00 p.m.
