Garden City, N.Y. - Adelphi University men's lacrosse player Edward Ege (Rockville Centre, N.Y.) is one of five players nominated for Inside Lacrosse magazine Division II Player of Year. Ege was chosen as part of Inside Lacrosse Magazines inaugural Laxie Awards.

Ege, a first-team USILA All-American, led the nation in points per game, averaging 6.17 and assists per game, handing out 4.33 assists each time he set foot on the field. Ege was also selected as the East Coast Conference Player of the Year and was a first-team All-ECC selection in addition to leading the Panthers in goals (22), assists (52) and points(74).

The Panthers posted a record of 7-5 overall, and 3-3 in ECC play.
