May 12, 2006 New York, N.Y. - Adelphi senior attack Wes Green, who led the NYCAC in goals (4.77) and points (6.0) per game, has been named the NYCAC Men's Lacrosse Player of the Year by the league's coaches. NYIT freshman goalkeeper Dan Goosk, who was second in the league with an 8.26 GAA, was selected as the NYCAC Rookie of the Year, and Dowling Head Coach Tim Boyle was named NYCAC Coach of the Year after leading the Golden Lions to an 11-1 overall mark and appearance in the NCAA Division II Final Four. C.W. Post placed a total of seven players on the squads, including four on the First Team, Dowling also had four First Team performers among its six selections. In addition to Green's First Team selection the Panthers had two players honored with Second Team selections, sophomore midfielder Dale Pescitelli (Shoreham, N.Y.) and junior defenseman Chris Mahaffy (Huntington, N.Y.).
