Garden City, N.Y. - Photo GALLERY On Friday, October 16, Adelphi University hosted its annual Midnight Madness Celebration to kick-off the start of the 2009-2010 men and women's basketball seasons. Over 700 fans packed the Center for Recreation & Sports to be entertained and cheer on the Panthers. Traditionally the event has taken place on the eve before the first official day of practice for the teams. For the first time, Adelphi hosted the event after that start date and moved the time up earlier to accomodate more faculty, staff, commuters and fans. Approximately $2,000 was raised from the ticket sales and will be donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the official charity of NCAA Division II. Related Video
