What:
Yankees Legend and Hall of Famer pitcher Whitey Ford will help Adelphi University celebrate the opening of its new $1.4 million baseball complex as part of the University's Homecoming festivities. He will throw out the ceremonial first pitch along with benefactor Anthony J. Bonomo, Esq. Adelphi President Robert A. Scott, head baseball coach and former Yankees bullpen coach Dominic Scala, and other guests will participate in a ribbon cutting ceremony. Adelphi's new complex will feature all-weather field turf, 50-foot dugouts, enclosed bullpens, and seating for 500.
