Garden City, N.Y. - The accolades continue to roll in for senior Mike Myers, who is the 2007 National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Northeast Region Pitcher of the Year as announced on May 30. Junior Mike Testani joins Myers as a first-team all-region selection.

Myers, the Daktronics Northeast Region Pitcher of the Year, led the Panthers in wins (10), complete games (8) and was second on the team in innings pitched (77.2) and strikeouts with 74. Myers was also named East Coast Conference Pitcher of the Year and was a first-team all-conference selection in addition to earning ABCA/Rawlings first-team all-region honors.

Testani, the East Coast Conference Player of the Year and an ABCA/Rawlings first-team all-region selection, led the Panthers in batting average (.406), RBI (55), slugging percentage (.620) and was tied for runs scored with 50. He was also a first-team All-ECC selection and a NCAA Division II All-Northeast Regional selection.

The Panthers completed the 2007 season with a third place finish in the NCAA Division II Northeast Regional and a record of 35-17.
