Garden City, N.Y. - Adelphi University senior Ryan Boelsen and sophomore Keith Couch were each selected named second-team selections as the 2009 Daktronics Baseball All-East Region team has been announced. This is the first Daktronics honor for both players, who appeared on the East Coast Conference (ECC) all-conference team.

Boelsen, a first-team ECC selection at catcher, leads the Panthers in RBI with 33, total bases with 74 and is second on the team in batting average, hitting .367.

Couch was also an ECC first-team honoree as a starting pitcher after posting a record of 7-1 overall with an ERA of just 1.52 with 55 strike outs and three complete games.

Adelphi opens up play in the NCAA Division II East Regional on Thursday, May 14 against Dowling College in Rindge, New Hampshire.
