Junior Chris Alvarez was named the MVP for the baseball team at the annual athletic banquet for Adelphi athletes. the junior captain started in 31 games this season, hit .300, had 2 home runs, 9 doubles, 21 RBI's, and had a .912 fielding %. When asked to comment about his award, Alvarez said that it "was a nice way to end his season, and next year we hope to get back on track." The junior captain will be taking off the summer to go back into the weight room, and make a big impact in his senior year. Congratulations to Chris Alvarez on being the 2003 Baseball MVP for Adelphi University.
