Bob Malvagna begins his seventh season as a coach at Adelphi University and his fifth as Associate Head Coach. In addition to his third base coaching duties Malvagna also serves as hitting coach and recruiting coordinator.

Malvagna was a former scholarship player at St. John's University from 1975-1979 and was a member of the 1978 College World Series Team.

Former teammates include NY Met John Franco and Frank Viola, who is now retired.

Malvagna currently resides in East Meadow, N.Y. and is married to the former Mary Schoenhut. They have three sons, Stephen, Ryan and R.J.
