Slippery Rock, PA - On Saturday, November 22 Adelphi University senior Ify Anene will toe the line at the NCAA Division II Cross Country National Championship meet in Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania. She will line up with 184 of the best in Division II from across the country and it will be webcast live on www.ncaa.com.

Anene, a two-time USTFCCCA All-East Region selection, will make her second straight appearance at the National Championship meet. She is the 2007 and 2008 East Coast Conference Runner of the Year and will be looking to improve on her 2007 National Championship finish of 79th on Saturday.

As a team the women have won three consecutive ECC cross-country championships and posted their best East Regional finish in the past six years on November 9, placing third overall, just 15 points out of second and a team berth to the National Meet.

The men's 10K championship race will go off at 12:00 pm at Cooper's Lake Campground in Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania and the women's 6K championship race will start at 1:15 pm.
