Garden City, N.Y. - Adelphi University senior Danielle Connor (Lake Grove, N.Y.) was named East Coast Conference women's Runner of the Week, while freshmen Barbara Green (Levittown, N.Y.) and Ryan Pezzulo (Burnt Hills, N.Y.) were each honored as Rookie of the Week. This is the first award this season for both Connor and Green and the second honor for Pezzulo.

Connor led Adelphi to a ninth place finish at the Connecticut College Invitational. She placed 32nd overall in a field of 172 runners, crossing the line in a time of 24:26.

Green was the fourth Adelphi runner to cross the line in her first meet in an Adelphi uniform at the Connecticut College Invitational. Green placed 68th overall, covering the 6K course in 25:44.

Pezzulo posted a new personal record for the third consecutive week, covering the 8K course at the Connecticut College Invitational in 26:55 to place 54th overall. His run helped the Panthers place 10th out of 19 competing teams.

Adelphi returns to action on Friday, September 28 when they travel to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania to compete in the Paul Short Run.
